Description
An old, rusted metal bridge leans against a rocky cliff surrounded by a forest of evergreen trees. Snow and scattered rocks cover the base, indicating a winter scene in a rugged landscape.
Every so often, the Big Thompson River in northern Colorado goes crazy and floods everything it can. It’s happened twice that I know of: once in 1976 and again in 2013 causing this bridge to wash out. Like the signs say, “In case of flood, climb to safety!”
Some digital effects were applied to the original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition.
