Description
A stunning landscape showcases a vast canyon with steep, multicolored rock formations under a clear blue sky. Shadows cast across the terrain highlight the deep crevices and rugged beauty of the natural scene.
Arizona’s Canyon del Muerto contains a prehistoric Indian burial ground found in 1882. The name translates to Canyon of the Dead.
The canyon has a number of historical artifacts within its walls. The beauty of the area makes it worth visiting at least once. Canyon del Muerto, one side of Canyon de Chelly National Monument, contains over a hundred ancient cliff dwellings.
The walls of the canyon are covered with etchings, carvings and paintings from ancient cultures.
Some digital effects were applied to the original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition.
