Description
A beautiful waxing crescent Moon outshines the planet Venus. Sometimes Venus can be seen in the morning and is known as the "Morning Star", sometimes in the evening as the "Evening Star". However, even a minus four magnitude, it's apparent brightness is not enough to "hold a candle" to the Moon. Oh, BTW. Even at the so-called "Full Moon" phase when you are really only seeing half the lunar surface, our apparently bright heavenly neighbor only reflects about 11 percent of the sunlight that falls on it. Just sayin...
The planet Venus is down in the lower left corner at abouth the seven o'clock position.
