Description
Golden rock formations rise against a backdrop of a partly cloudy sky, with lush greenery and rugged bushes covering the foreground. Sunlight filters through the clouds, casting dramatic shadows over the landscape.
This rock formation is called the 'Devil's Backbone' and is part of the sedimentary Dakota group protruding west of Loveland, Colorado along Highway 34. Watch out for snakes!
Some digital effects were applied to the original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition.
