Description
The water in the Poudre River in northern Colorado is finally starting to clear up after several weeks of poor water clarity and debris led by the mudslides on July 20th.
Particularly, the mudslide at Black Hollow Road up the Poudre Canyon and the debris it moved into the water meant the river was again contaminated with dirt and with ash from the Cameron Peak Fire burn scar flooding.
This is what happened after the 2012 High Park Fire. It wasn't until the 2013 floods came through that all the extra silt and soil got washed away and the river began to return to normal.
Some digital effects were applied to the original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition. Your finished photograph will not contain the Fine Art America watermark.
