Description
Saw a whole herd of Robins yesterday. Good sign that winter is almost over and spring is near. Just in time, we are setting the clocks ahead next week back to "new time" and warmer weather is around the corner I hope.
The species (Turdus migratorius) is an early migrant near the end of a typical Colorado winter and sightings always give me hope!
The American robin is a migratory songbird of the thrush family named after the European robin because of its reddish-orange breast. It has a wide distribution throughout North America, winters from southern Canada to central Mexico and along the Pacific Coast. Connecticut, Michigan, and Wisconsin all claim it as their state bird.
Some digital effects were applied to this original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition. Ordered images will not contain the FAA watermark.
