Description
A vortex is a place, usually on or near an interesting rock formation, where people have reported feeling inspired by a beneficial source of energy. But where are all these renowned spots of heightened spiritual and metaphysical energy located. So, can one go most anywhere in Sedona, Arizona and tingle, or are there specific locations?
It turns out that there are many "Vortex Maps" available on the internet in case you don't know exactly where to stand, sit or lie down. There is supposed to be one on the side of Bell Rock closest to the parking area. Don't know for sure. I think it might have been just my stomach growling...
Bell Rock is a popular tourist attraction just north of the Village of Oak Creek, Arizona, south of Sedona in Yavapai County. Its summit elevation is 4,919 feet and is located just west of Courthouse Butte.
Geologically, Bell Rock is a butte, composed of horizontally bedded sedimentary rock of the Permian Supai Formation. Some New Age writers consider Bell Rock to be a portal into the Earth or a gateway to other dimensions....
