In other words, just another pretty Storm Mountain sunset near the town of Drake, Colorado.
Storm Mountain is a front range Colorado peak that is higher than most others around it. The mountain offers stunning views of the plains below near Ft. Collins, and of the jagged peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park beyond. The mountain is popular with off road driving in the summer months, but is closed to vehicular traffic in the winter.
The area has recently been hit hard with fire damage from the Alexander Mountain fire but is recovering thanks to the efforts of the fire crews and aircraft pilots…
