Description
From Swords to Plowshares this building has evolved. During the 1920’s, community boosters in Loveland, Colorado spearheaded a successful effort to establish a National Guard unit in town, primarily as an economy-building and patriotic measure. The 1926 building served for 35 years as the headquarters and training facility for local units of the National Guard.
The building is an important example of the work of Denver architect Sidney G. Frazier, who in was a captain in the Colorado National Guard. It has served as storage for Hewlett-Packard, school district headquarters, city offices and most recently a church.
The church, whose members in 1993 painstakingly remodeled and saved the aging piece of Loveland history, and had it listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Some digital effects were applied to the original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition. Your finished photograph will not contain the Fine Art America watermark.
