Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

The flags of Texas fly high in the breeze. The American Stars and Stripes fly above the Texas Lone Star Flag in this image made at the Caprock State Park east of Amarillo.

The Lone Star flag of Texas is well known for its prominent single white star which gives the flag its commonly-used name. This flag, gives rise to the state's nickname: "The Lone Star State". Flown at homes and businesses statewide, the Lone Star Flag is highly popular among Texans and is treated with a great degree of reverence and esteem within the state. Along with the flag of Hawaii, it is one of two state flags to have previously served as a national flag.

Legislation authorizing the flag was introduced in the Congress of the Republic of Texas on December 28, 1838, by Senator William H. Wharton. The flag was adopted on January 25, 1839 as the national flag of the Republic of Texas. Photography is all about using light to capture the emotion and beauty of a fleeting moment. For me, this adventure began with a single spring image using a small Kodak film camera of a freshly watered central Kansas ditch and has come full circle using modern digital techniques. My first camera was acquired by trading an ancient Royal typewriter to a fellow college student who was desperate to finish a term paper. It was a long time ago and that camera was my passport to an art that has fascinated me ever since. I owned and operated a professional studio in central Kansas for 20 years and moved to Colorado in 1994.
