Description
A vast expanse of the Grand Canyon stretches under a clear blue sky, highlighted by intricate layers of red and orange rock formations. A tree in the foreground provides a natural frame and adds depth to the sweeping landscape.
The Grand Canyon sneaks up on you. You are driving along and suddenly, there it is right in front of your car. I was there shooting at both sunup and sundown to bring out colors in the rock that only were suspected to be there.
The Colorado River at the bottom and the Arizona winds working together over time have made this area a thing not to be missed.
Some digital effects were applied to the original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition.
