This is a view of a large cirque near the highest part, 12,183 feet, of Trail Ridge Road in northern Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Park. These small snowfields represent all that is left of the glacier that carved the bowl of this cirque during the last ice age about 10,000 years ago…
