I promised myself that I would just look at the eclipse this time. That worked for a while, but toward the end just before the diamond ring, I had to grab a few shots. If you look closely, the planet Jupiter shows up in the lower left of the frame.
The length this time wasn't as long as the total eclipse I saw in 1991, but it was absolutely spectacular! For those of us who were in the umbra, we got our money's worth! If you were only in the penumbra, don't make that mistake again. If you weren't in the umbra or the penumbra of the shadow, oh well...
The weather was CAVU and the eclipse performed as promised. Yes, I would do it again!
