Artist's Description
The yellow-green branches of the Palo Verde tree (Spanish for ‘green stick’) help distinguish the tree from many other plants in the Sonoran desert. The tree protects young saguaro cacti from direct sun, cold weather, frost, and predators.
During dry conditions the Palo Verde drops its leaves and a few branches. The tree is easily recognized because it is green but leafless most of the year.
Some digital effects were applied to the original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition. Your finished photograph will not contain the Fine Art America watermark.
