Description
I ran into this interesting formation while looking for dinosaur tracks along the Purgatoir River in Picket Wire Canyon south of La Junta, Colorado. The canyon contains areas that are home to the largest known set of dinosaur tracks in North America.
There are many other things to see in the canyon including Native American Rock Art and unusual rock formations like "Window Rock". Wind and water are powerful forces that shape the appearance of our planet and create these beauties.
