Description
Grasslands are made up of grasses and broad-leaved, herbaceous plants. They usually have very few or no woody plants and see warm growing seasons. Grasslands cover about three million acres in Colorado.
Mixed-grass habitats are characterized by mid-height or tall native grasses including sand bluestem, prairie sand reed, yellow Indian grass, little bluestem, switchgrass and in some areas prairie cord grass.
Shortgrass prairies are characterized by blue grama (Bouteloua gracilis) and buffalograss (Bouteloua dactyloides).
Some digital effects were applied to the original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition. Your finished photograph will not contain the Fine Art America watermark.
