Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

A fellers gotta eat! Mud ovens were used when kitchen stoves weren't available. This one, at old Ft. Lupton in Weld County, Colorado looks like it's had some use.

The Tallow River Trappers in conjunction with the South Platte Valley Historical Society holds three major rendezvous throughout the year. The first rendezvous of the year is called the Frozen Toes Rendezvous and is held the last weekend in February. The Lancaster Restoration Rendezvous is held Memorial Day Weekend and finally, the Trapper Days Rendezvous is held on the weekend following Labor Day and coincides with the town of Fort Lupton's Trapper Days Celebration. Activities at these events include shooting, tomahawk and knife throwing on the range, a woods walk, and fire starting contests. And of course, eating...

Some digital effects were applied to this original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition. Ordered images will not contain the FAA watermark.

Photography is all about using light to capture the emotion and beauty of a fleeting moment. For me, this adventure began with a single spring image using a small Kodak film camera of a freshly watered central Kansas ditch and has come full circle using modern digital techniques. My first camera was acquired by trading an ancient Royal typewriter to a fellow college student who was desperate to finish a term paper. It was a long time ago and that camera was my passport to an art that has fascinated me ever since. I owned and operated a professional studio in central Kansas for 20 years and moved to Colorado in 1994. Part of the studio's early success came from creating outdoor portraiture using controlled lighting...
